Tired of generic hotel rooms? Want some privacy and tranquility? You will enjoy our beautiful cottage within walking distance of downtown Asheville. The ivy-clad cottage features one bedroom with a queen bed and a very comfortable fold-out full size futon in the living room. The cottage can accommodate four adults and one baby comfortably, but is most ideal for a couple or small family. Enjoy some meals "at home" in our fullly equipped kitchen. The living room features a dining table for four and a futon couch and overlooks the pond and patio area. The large bathroom is equipped with an over-sized jetted tub and separate shower unit. Guests have full use of the mossy, beautifully landscaped outdoor patio area complete with gurgling koi pond and gas grill. We are happy to provide you with information about how to best enjoy the area while you are here. You will have complete privacy during your stay, but our house is next door should you have needs or questions about the area.

Small kitchen, fully stocked and equipped with appliances, dishes, cleaning supplies, tupperware and storage baggies, tea, coffee, salt/pepper and herbs. Living Room with futon couch, dining table for four, DVD player, CD player (with a small book and CD library), remote controlled gas logs heater, AC window unit, highchair. Tourist info. pack in the cottage. Iron, ironing board, first aid kit, extra towels, blankets, pillows etc. Non-allergenic bedding available. Animal/ baby gates available. Dog crate available. Use of lovely outdoor patio area with koi pond, including outdoor seating for 6 and a gas grill. Off-street parking for two cars. Plenty of on-street parking for visitors. |
| Downtown Asheville is 20 minutes walk or a five minute car ride away. We are also on the bus line that will take you to downtown Asheville if you feel like ditching the car. Downtown Asheville is a vibrant locale with many excellent restuarants, unique shops, music venues, galleries, museums etc. In season, street musicians light up the long balmy evenings with their entertainment. It truly is like a little slice of Europe right here in the South. We have information and recommendations in the cottage as to our favorite places to go in town to share with you. Our neighborhood, Montford, is the loveliest, historic neighborhood in Asheville, with some truly interesting architectural gems and mature trees. There are sidewalks on most streets which make it fun to walk here. We are five minutes walk from gorgeous Riverside Cemetery, where author Thomas Wolfe is buried. The Asheville Chamber of Commerce is a 10 minute walk, where tourist info. is available. We are 10 minutes by car from the historic Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close to Pisgah National Forest and the Great Smokies National Park...for hiking, white water rafting and mountain biking. Discounted therapeutic massage is availabled on-site for our cottage guests. |

No smoking in the cottage but smoking allowed outside in patio area. Pets are welcome with advance approval only and a $100 (refundable) pet deposit will be payable upon arrival. Dogs must be kept on a leash as we do have cats and fish...also a local leash law. |
